The discussion between the two ranged fairly freely, but highlights from the evening included a brief discussion of language (arguably, the defining feature of humankind), the application of the meme concept to religious belief, and <a href=\"http:\/\/clergyproject.org\/\">The Clergy Project<\/a>. If I were asked to pick one enduring idea from the discussion, I think it would have to be Dennett&#8217;s suggestion for atheists to stay cool, as in his view religion is bound to diminish in the long run.
